Do I need a Honeymoon Registry

A wedding is often the most expensive day in our lives. With so much concentration being on the ceremony day, sometimes we give little thought to the honeymoon or consider it an optional event.

Celebrating your love, your new marriage and the start of something amazing together deserves a trip of equal proportion. Don’t pass on the honeymoon, embrace it!

The first step is to talk to your fiancée about what type of honeymoon you both envision. Is it relaxing on a tropical beach? Zip lining through the rain forest? Exploring a natural wonder before retiring to a lodge? Backpacking through Europe? Honeymoons are as different as types of weddings. This is your trip to start off your life as husband and wife, explore your preferences and choose the honeymoon of your dreams.

Once you decide the type of honeymoon you want to have, it is best to talk to a honeymoon specialist to find out how much you can expect to spend and what your options are. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, their job is to make your trip as perfect and hassle free as possible.

Even if you can afford your honeymoon, a honeymoon registry is still a good idea! People love giving gifts that are meaningful. Most of us have been to a wedding and given a household item off the couple’s registry. Can you remember what you gave a year or so later? More importantly, can the couple?

When a couple receives an experience like a sunset dinner cruise, day of snorkeling, couple’s massage, etc. on their first day of marriage they are much more likely to remember who gave that meaningful gift.

So make that dream trip come true and allow your friends and family to give you a gift that you will remember for a lifetime… start your honeymoon registry.
